    Description

    We run a non-profit summer theatre, 300 meters from the harbour in a small fishing Village in the South of Sweden. It is a well-known and vibrant cultural centre that attracts audiences from all over Sweden with different performances and cultural activities. The theatre is located in the main tourist region of Sweden - Skåne/Österlen, a beutiful region with wide and miles long, white sand beaches and plenty of nice venues to visit. The nature is magnificent and serves well for biking and hiking.

    The theatre has three different stages and has been awarded many prizes. It is managed by the creative producer Karin (speaks good English and Spanish) who recently restored the whole building and will now start to grow ecological food to serve in the restaurant of the theatre.

    The Theatre is located in a small fisher village, in the beautiful region of Skåne/Österlen. We have bikes for you as a volunteer to use and it takes 20-30 minutes (great biking tracks next to the sea) to bike to the nearest City - Simrishamn, one of the main tourist cities of Skåne.

    We prioritize when people can come for longer period and we also prefere people travelling in teams. But there are always room for exceptions.

    Help

    Come and help us with our non-profit theatre - you can choose from everything between ecological gardening or helping us build, paint and restore these old but charming buildings. We also like for you to help us to recieve and welcome our guests, or take part in the different tasks related to the management of the theatre (set design, sound and lights technique, social media etc) In general you will be helping out with the maintenance and different tasks related to the way we run the theatre where a multitude of cultural activities goes on.

    The theatre has shared guest rooms with comfortable beds where you as a volunteer will be able to stay. The premise has several showers and bathrooms with toilets and running warm water . The Theatre is located in a beautiful fishing village, 300 meters from the sea where you on warm days can stroll down for a morning swim. We will provide for breakfast, lunch and dinner and we all help out cooking the food as part of the experience. We are open to recieving families as well as single travelers.

    As one of the main the tourist regions of Sweden the area of Skåne and Österlen has plenty of things to do, great beaches and a wonderful, bike friendly nature. It is easily accessible by train, bus or bike from Copenhagen and Malmö. This picturesque region has a lot of cultural sights and events happening all summer long. In spring, autumn and winter it provides a nice and peaceful environment - wonderful for enjoying a relaxed and cosy time with nice walks and plenty of nature to discover.

    Yes - we have full internet access in the restaurant building. There is also internet access in the living quarters but that is a bit limited.
